Who Am I?
First, I am glad you stopped by. I have been a software guy for a few decades working on a variety of computing platforms and technologies. The one constant in technology is change and it is happening faster and faster. One way I try to manage the rapid changes is by being pragmatic towards what is really necessary, what is nice to have, and what is interesting but not practical at the moment. That is what pragmatic means to me.
It has also been incumbent on me to change in order to stay gainfully employed. What I learned and used for technologies five, ten or fifteen years ago is not what I am currently using at the moment. As technology evolves, so have I and so will you if you intend to stick around.
Cloud computing is a seismic shift that has affected the entire planet, from the largest corporations to nearly every person everywhere. This is where I spent my working time these days.
